Menus
Menus primairly refer to the navigation bars at the top of a NHMLAC page and the footer at the bottom of a page. All menus have a corresponding Block. This documentation will cover the menus and their blocks.
Editing a menu
It is rare that a menu for the site will need to be edited. Menus can be editing in one of two ways:
Editing the menu directly
Navigate to the menu and hover over it. A pencil icon will appear in the top right corner. Click on the pencil icon to edit the menu (see below).
Using the admin menu
Navigate to structure > menus (/admin/structure/menu). There will be a list of menus, to edit one click the edit menu button to the right.
Menus List
Below is a list of menus, available via /admin/structure/menu. While most of these menus are editable on the page, some are not. Those that are not ediatable on the page are noted below.
Administration
The menus for the administration pages. This menu is not visible to the public.
CMS Manual
The sidebar menu for the CMS Manual (opens in a new tab), developed by BlueCadet (the firm that built the NHMLAC websites). This menu is not visible to the public.
Domain Nav
This menu is not editable via the menu page. To edit the links in this menu, please refer to the NHMLAC Domains Config documentation.
Footer
Links in the footer of the site. To edit the other parts of the footer (such as the social links) please refer to Social Footer
Global Nav
The main navigation bar at the top of the site, on the righthand side.
Main Navigation
This menu should not be edited, it is intended only for developer use.
NHM/NHMLAC/Hart Navigation
The Buy Tickets button link is not editable via this menu. Please refer to the NHMLAC Domains Config documentation to edit the Buy Tickets button.
